Rick Riordan is a well-known author of Percy Jackson & the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and The Kane Chronicles.
He also wrote the first book in The 39 Clues, The Maze of Bones. Throughout the series, he has come back for small installments in books such as The Black Book of Buried Secrets, and Vespers Rising.
It is a little known fact that prior to the Percy Jackson series, he had already written and won multiple awards for his adult mystery series, Tres Navarre.
He is one of the four Janus authors in T39C series, the others being Peter Lerangis, Gordon Korman, and Roland Smith.
He has not appeared on the 39 Clues Message Board yet, but mods and admins have posted interviews and news about or relating to him.
He was voted "best author" on the Wiki polls.
